8 hours work
This was a very short week. Notably given the fact of thanksgiving.
I inventoried and fixed some laptops on monday. Tuesday was a different ideal altogether. I was finishing up some inventorying until i had to upgrade a lab desktop in irving 2 to xp professional from home edition. This way it could join the sfos domain.
That seemed to take forever so i worked on the other computer in the lab which had a malfunctioning symantec antivirus. That problem was annoying, it neither likes to uninstall or install properly. The thing just didn't want to do live updates or have automatic protection enabled. I'm thinking that i'm going to talk to mark about putting avg antivirus on there given that symantec just doesn't want to do anything on this one computer.
Wednesday arrived which i was notified it'd be a short day. So i made symantec antivirus work again on two laptops. Then i went back to the lab i was at on tuesday to install matlab on the new xp pro install i did a day earlier (i also joined that upgraded computer to the sfos domain the previous day also).
Matlab took forever to uninstall the older version and install the new version. So i took that time to work on symantec on the other machine again. No ground was made on the other with symantec, but the other computer is all good. I also refilled a printers ink cartridges with solid ink, it was interesting.
That was the end of the everything that transpired this week. I was back on the ball with brain in the job though.
